I’ve got some ‘splain’in’ to do…

in How to be a Housewife, Tales from the Back of the Unemployment Line

I know. It’s been 15days since my last post. And now it comes to you on a Friday night.

Assuming I get this posted before midnight.

So let’s just say it’s been 16 days since my last post.

Not that I haven’t been blogging every day for the last two weeks. I have. And let me tell you, I’ve written some GOLDEN stuff.

In my head.

Which, really, is where ya’ll should be anyway. If you were, then someone could tell the Big Man that I want him to want to help do the dishes without me having to do more than twitch my left eyelash twice.

But the whole getting to a computer for longer than 5minutes at a time to actually write any of it down? Well, that’s going about as well as my adventures in canning.

Although I do have my Canning 101 class tomorrow today. So….

It’s just that we’ve made some big decisions in our lives the past few months.

I’d like to repeat that, for those of you looking at my waistline. NOT. PREGNANT.

But we might as well be, for all the crazy that’s been going on around here. Because we’ve decided to open up our own medical practice two days after the holidays are over. And we’ve decided that I? Will be running it.

It was either that or treat patients. And the AMA tends to frown on “practicing” medicine without a license.

Which means I’ve now got two months to learn how to run a medical practice. Without doing anything illegal.

Watching Mob Doctor? Not as helpful on that last part as you might think.

Also? I need to learn how to be a working mom. ish.

Not to mention how to can.

So if the laundry’s gets an extra wash or two before I finally remember to put it in the dryer, or the Domino’s delivery boy starts to know me as well as my UPS guy, or the blogging gets a bit behind? Just assume that I’ve lost my wit under a pile of federal rules and regulations for the legal hiring of human beings.

That or I’ve finally blown up the house learned to can.

Ugh, I write the very best posts in my head. Why don’t more people read them? They’re really missing out.

Good luck girlie! But I know you’ll be great! We’ve finally moved too so my blogging has definitely fallen by the way side. But I’m good with that as something had to give and it’s not that big right now anyways. I’ll get it there slowly. Remember my mom (aka The One Who Loves to Adopt More Grandkids Nana) is in the same state as you so give her a call. Lots of love to you, The Big Man, and The Littles!

Sounds like a big undertaking, Meg! Good luck; I know you’ll do a super professional job. :O)
